Misbar’s Analysis
Misbar investigated the circulating claim and discovered it to be false, as the two photos are old and do not depict a dust storm in Iraq.
The first photo was published on Iraqi news sites in April 2013 as a dust storm that swept through the eastern Iraqi province of Maysan, while the second was published on Arab news sites in March 2017, denying that the images were of a recent dust storm in Iraq.
