Misbar’s team investigated the claim and found it misleading. The photo had already been published online by American online news outlets on Jan. 21. The photo shows a 6-year-old boy that was injured along with his father and grandmother after a car hit them near Guilford County, located in the U.S. state of North Carolina.

The claim started to circulate after the Moroccan authorities announced the death of the boy Rayan, who was stuck in a well from Feb. 1 in the Moroccan city of Chefchaouen.
