Misbar also discovered a video posted on the Liliba Neighborhood Association's official Facebook page on May 12, 2021, with the caption, "The market is still being repaired. They began demolishing a portion of the building today. Thank you to everyone who sent us videos and photos."

According to Spanish media, the market was demolished at the time, based on a 2019 judgment by the Madrid Court of Justice, as the structures were constructed without a permit or maintenance.
