Misbar’s Analysis

Misbar has investigated the claim and found it to be misleading. The picture is old and was posted to websites in January 2020 as it shows floods in Linhares northern Espírito Santo, Brazil.

Our team has found that the Brazilian photographer Paulo Henrique Pampolin took the picture. Many images stores have uploaded it with a caption reading: “River Flooding Due To Rain Causes Large Mud Next To A Dam That Prevents The Rivers From Meeting.”
