Misbar investigated the circulating claim and discovered it to be misleading, as the image was old and not of Chinese ships entering Taiwan's territorial waters. Naval, which specializes in military news transmission, has published it since 2019 as a 3D design that embodies the surface warships of the Chinese People's Liberation Army Navy.
Misbar did not find the news that Chinese ships had entered Taiwan's territorial waters published by any reliable media or official source.
The claim's circulation coincided with the start of Russian military operations against Ukraine and Ukraine's announcement that Russian ground forces will enter its territory from several directions on Thursday, Feb. 24.
