Social media users have circulated a video claiming it depicts Ukrainian citizens recently destroying two Russian tanks using petrol gasoline bottles in Kyiv during the ongoing Russian military operation in Ukraine.
Misbar’s Analysis
Misbar has investigated the claim and found it to be misleading. The video, which shows "security officers attempting to ram barricades with armored personnel carriers, which were instantly set on fire by defenders," is old and was already posted to YouTube in 2014.
The video was also shared on other YouTube channels in 2018 and later in 2020, confirming that it is old and has nothing to do with Russia's ongoing military intervention in Ukraine.
