Misbar investigated the widely circulated claim and discovered it to be misleading, as the photo was old, released on February 4, 2019, of floods in Townsville, Queensland, Australia.
In February 2019, floodwaters swept through the coastal city of Townsville, flooding roads and thousands of homes, and displacing hundreds of residents.
The widely circulated claim came as floods ravaged southeast Queensland and northern New South Wales, killing 12 people.
