Social media users have circulated a viral image claiming it is a screenshot from eBay. The image purported to show a listing for a used Russian T-72 tank recently seized by Ukrainians.

Misbar has investigated the claim and found it to be fake. Our team could not find any real tank for sale or any sold one on eBay. The e-commerce platform has displayed some tank listings using the same image featured on the alleged screenshot, but it turned out to be a joke. However, plastic tank images have been used in other listings.
By using Google Image Reverse Search, we were able to confirm that the tank depicted on the image is not, in fact, the Russian tank that was recently seized. The photo of the tank was uploaded to the internet in 2010.
On other military platforms and websites, the same tank image has appeared in 2011 and 2018.
This claim started circulating after Ukrainians seized many abandoned Russian tanks during Russia's ongoing military action in Ukraine. Many social media users have also shared videos of farming tractors transferring captured tanks and military equipment.
