Facebook accounts and pages have recently circulated a video claiming to be of Russian rocket launchers bombing the Ukrainian capital, Kyiv.
Misbar’s Analysis
Misbar investigated the widely circulated claim and discovered it to be misleading. It was published by Russian websites and accounts in November 2019, showing crowds gathered to watch Russian military exercises on a holiday, the Day of Missile Forces and Artillery, at the Luga training ground in the Leningrad region.
As the Russian military has reportedly been bombing several Ukrainian cities more frequently, the circulated claim came at a time when the Russians and Ukrainians are involved in deadly fighting on multiple fronts.
