Bush appeared in a recorded video shared via his official Instagram account on Nov. 11, 2021, which marks Veterans Day. The account also shared a photo of the funeral of former U.S. Senator Bob Dole in Dec. 2021.
Under Bush’s presidency, the United States occupied Afghanistan following the September 11 events in 2001 and led an alliance to invade Iraq in 2003.
Bush’s father, George H. W. Bush, died when he was in his 90s in Nov. 2018.
