Using Keywords on Google Search, our team found that the Canadian sniper known as Wali spoke to Global News on Tuesday, March 22, 2022, confirming that he is “alive and well in Kyiv.”

According to Global News’ article, Wali said he was “simply in black-out mode.” He said he believes rumors of his death were part of a propaganda campaign by the Russians.” He added, speaking to Global News from the Kyiv region, that he is well-fed and all good. He was also surprised by these fake posts claiming his death. “I was the last person to learn the news that I was dead,” he said.

Global News reported that Wali spent the week that the claim was making the rounds on the front lines in Kyiv. According to reports, he was sick at the time of the interview, but he would be back on the front lines in a few days.
