Since Tuesday, March 22, social media users have been sharing a video purporting to show a car running over people. This is followed by a stabbing attack in the occupied southern Palestinian city of Beersheba, which killed four Israelis and injured others.
Misbar’s Analysis
Misbar investigated the circulated claim and found it misleading, as the video is old. It depicts an incident in China on March 20, and the date appears at the end and on the right side of the video with words in Chinese.
According to China's official Xinhua news agency, a car hit a number of cyclists in Handan City, north China's Hebei Province, resulting in deaths and injuries. An investigation of the incident was conducted.
The circulated video followed reports of a run-over and stabbing operation in Beersheba on Tuesday evening, which killed four Israelis and the attacker after a bus driver shot him in the city center.
