Misbar’s team investigated the claim and found it to be misleading. The photos being shared were taken during the 2017 Academy Awards. During the 89th Academy Awards, the inaccurate announcement of “La La Land” as Best Picture over “Moonlight” caused a visible shock among the audience.
The claim is being shared in relation to Will Smith’s now infamous slap of the Academy Awards Ceremony’s host Chris Rock.
