Misbar investigated the circulating claim and found it to be false, as Syria has not stated that it will aid Lebanon. Furthermore, no credible news source reported the story.

The allegations arose after the Lebanese Deputy Prime Minister stated on Al Jadeed TV that Lebanon's central bank is bankrupt.
