Several social media users, including journalists, have reported that the Pentagon stated that President Zelenskyy is the cousin of the Hungarian American investor George Soros.

Misbar investigated the circulating claim and found it to be fake.
Misbar’s team could not find any recent statements regarding the alleged relationship between President Zelenskyy and Soros on the official website of the U.S. Department of Defense.
Moreover, Misbar’s team found a 2020 interview that the news agency Interfax-Ukraine conducted with President Zelenskyy where the latter denies knowing Soros. President Zelenskyy affirms: “I am not familiar with a person named Soros. I have never met him. I'm definitely not one of that 'followers of Soros'.”
It is important to mention that President Zelenskyy’s ties with Soros have been debated since the war on Ukraine began. Many rumors and speculations proliferated after the Russian Defense Ministry accused Hunter Biden's investment firm, Rosemont Seneca, and George Soros' foundation of financing Ukrainian biolabs.
