Emerging story
Since April 20, 2022, a video clip purporting to show an Israeli settlers' 'Flag March' in Jerusalem, raising racist slogans against Arabs and Muslims, has been circulating on social media accounts and pages.
Misbar’s Analysis
Misbar's investigation found the claim misleading, as the video clip circulating is outdated. The original video was taken in June 2021 during a flag march in Jerusalem organized by Israeli settlers. During the march, anti-Muslim and anti-Arab slogans were chanted.

‘Flag March’
The claim sparked following hundreds of Israeli ultra-nationalists waving Israeli flags marched toward Palestinian neighborhoods in Jerusalem's Old City on April 20, 2022.
Itamar Ben-Gvir, a far-right Israeli lawmaker, attended the march despite being prohibited from visiting Damascus Gate by Prime Minister Naftali Bennett.
Furthermore, on Wednesday, Israeli police prevented hundreds of Israeli settlers from marching toward Jerusalem's Damascus Gate, the main entrance to the Muslim quarter of the Old City.
Following the tensions, the Israeli government decided to keep the courtyards of al-Aqsa open only for Muslim worshippers until the end of Ramadan.
