Egyptian Federation Refutes Allegations

An official source within the Egyptian Football Association has denied rumors that the match between Egypt and Senegal in the qualifiers for the World Cup in Qatar in 2022 will be replayed.

The source confirmed the rumors about a decision to replay Egypt-Senegal in Qatar are false. 

He also stated that the Egyptian Football Association has not received any official or friendly confirmations from African Union or FIFA officials regarding this matter.

A Former CAF Official Clarifies the News

Former Confederation of African Football (CAF) official Abdel Moneim Shatta stated that the match between Egypt and Senegal will not be replayed. Shatta stated that replaying the match is impossible and that the only way for the match to be replayed is through the match referee's report, noting that FIFA has adopted the referee's report and the outcome of the match.

Complaint Filed by the Egyptian Football Association

Following the match against Sengeal, the Egyptian Football Federation (EFF) filed an official complaint for violence and racism against its Senegalese counterpart. 

"The Egyptian team was subjected to racism after offensive banners appeared in the stadium stands directed at the players, especially Mohamed Salah, the captain. All documented by photos and videos attached to the complaint, " the EFF revealed in a statement posted on Facebook.
