Social media users have been sharing a photo purportedly of U.S. House Speaker Nancy Pelosi from a recent appearance in which it is apparent that she has lost control of her facial muscles.
Misbar’s Analysis
Misbar investigated the widely circulated claim and discovered it to be false, as the image was fabricated and extracted from an old video clip published on May 13, 2020, by the American News Agency, the Associated Press, on its YouTube account. The same interview was also published on the "NewsMax" website. Pelosi spoke with MSNBC on the same topic and date.
The Heroes Act
In the interview, U.S. House Speaker Nancy Pelosi discussed the Democrats' $3 trillion coronavirus relief project.
The Democratic Party had passed a bill for them known as the "Heroes Act" in the U.S. House of Representatives at the time, aimed at mitigating the devastating effects of COVID-19 on the U.S. economy and healthcare system.
