An image of a massive stone from the Egyptian pyramids can be seen in the image. The image illustrates the size of the stones used in the construction of the Egyptian pyramids. 

Emerging story

Recently, several social media pages and accounts posted an image of a massive stone, purportedly showing one of the stones used in building the Egyptian pyramids.

Misbar’s Analysis

Misbar investigated the circulating claim and found it to be misleading. The image shows a Monolith from Baalbek and has been doctored to remove the writing from the monolith. 

By conducting a reverse image search on Google, Misbar was able to locate the original image in reports about the discovery of a monolith in Baalbek, Lebanon.The original image clearly shows scribbles on the stone, which indicates that the one circulating with the claim has been altered digitally.

Baalbek Is Home to the World’s Largest Ancient Stone Block

The largest manmade stone block ever found was discovered in 2014 by a team of German and Lebanese archaeologists. Measuring 64 feet by 19.6 feet by 18 feet, the monloith was discovered in a quarry in Baalbek, Lebanon.
