Controversial Article about Cannibalism

On July 23, 2022, The New York Times published an article featuring the recent books, films, and television shows that explore the theme of cannibalism. Among the works discussed in the article are “A Certain Hunger” by Chelsea G. Summers, the hit TV serial “Yellowjackets,” and “Fresh,” a 2022 film directed by Mimi Cave.

Misbar’s team read The New York Times article carefully and found that the article does not normalize cannibalism in any way. It merely synthesizes the recent cultural productions that focused on cannibalism as a theme.
