This circulating photo is old and has nothing to do with Nancy Pelosi's visit to Taiwan.
Mid-Air Refueling
Using TinEye, Misbar's team found that the photo was first uploaded to the Internet in September 2010. It depicts an E-4B in mid-air refueling, according to Al Alamy stock.
Nancy Pelosi’s Visit to Taiwan
The claim first surfaced in July, following the announcement that Nancy Pelosi would visit Taiwan in August to show support for Taipei amid Chinese tensions.
Despite China's warnings, House Speaker Nancy Pelosi landed in Taiwan on August 2, 2022.
Mrs. Pelosi, the highest-ranking U.S. official to visit Taiwan in 25 years, said the trip signaled "America's unwavering commitment to Taiwan's vibrant democracy."
In response to Pelosi's visit to Taiwan, China launched military drills in the seas and airspace surrounding Taiwan on Wednesday.
Nancy Pelosi Drunk Rumors
This is not the first time Nancy Pelosi has been falsely linked to alcohol or vodka. Misbar previously debunked a video alleging that Nancy Pelosi was drunk during her speech.
The video was doctored to slow down Speaker Pelosi's speech, making her sound drunk.
