The video clip depicts the death of Saudi businessman Muhammed bin Nasser bin Wazan Al-Qahtani, not the death of the Saudi ambassador to Egypt.
Misbar discovered a Twitter account called Muhammad bin Nasser bin Wazan Al-Qahtani, as the person in the account is the same person in the circulating video.
Saudi Arabia’s Ambassador to Egypt
Osama Naqli, the current Saudi ambassador to Egypt, confirmed in a statement that the person in the circulating video is a businessman, not one of the Saudi ambassadors or diplomats.
Muhammad bin Nasser bin Wazan Al-Qahtani
Muhammad Al-Qahtani is a famous Saudi Arabian businessman and the owner of the Al-Salam Holding Company. Before relocating to the UAE in 1995, he started his career at Aramco.
During his speech in Cairo, Al-Qahtani collapsed on the podium.
