The photo circulating is not new; it was taken in 2010.

2010 Flood in Muzaffargarh, Pakistan 

A Tineye reverse search revealed that the viral photo was first published online on August 19, 2010. 

The photo was taken in the Muzaffargarh region of Pakistan on August 19, 2010.

The image shows a vehicle flipping over and another crossing through floodwaters with people trapped inside.

The 2010 monsoon flood disaster in Pakistan killed more than 1,700 people, affected more than 20% of the land area, and caused billions of dollars in damages to infrastructure, housing, agriculture and livestock, and other family assets.

Pakistan Floods in 2022

On August 26, 2022, the Pakistani government proclaimed a "national emergency" after more than 30 million people were "badly affected" by torrential rainfall.
