Emerging story
Following the death of Queen Elizabeth II of the United Kingdom, photos purportedly depicting warning signs against Prince Andrew near Balmoral schools have been circulating on Twitter.
Misbar’s Analysis
Misbar investigated the circulating claim and found it to be satirical.
The circulating photo has been digitally altered and shared in connection with sexual abuse allegations against Prince Andrew.
Prince Andrew’s Relationship With Convicted Sex Trafficker
The satirical claim is linked to allegations of sex abuse against Prince Andrew, and to his affiliations with convicted pedophiles Jeffrey Epstein and Ghislaine Maxwell.
Prince Andrew reportedly hosted Maxwell and Epstein at Balmoral in 1999, as witnessed by a model who attended the getaway and reportedly spoke to the Daily Mail.

In 2021, a Channel 4 investigation revealed that Epstein and Maxwell were involved in sex trafficking and abuse in the UK, highlighting Prince Andrew's relation to Epstein and Maxwell.
During his sexual assault case, which was brought to court by the victim, Virgina Giuffre, Prince Andrew lost his military titles and Royal patronages in January 2022.
In Giuffre's case, she alleges that the Prince sexually assaulted her when she was a minor in 2001.
By reaching a confidential agreement with the prosecutors in February 2022, Prince Andrew avoided a civil trial and the obligation of a public guilt confession.
However, Prince Andrew denied Giuffre's allegations.
Prince Andrew Travels to Balmoral
Prince Andrew traveled to Balmore, Scotland on September 8, 2022, after Buckingham Palace announced that doctors were concerned about Queen Elizabeth's deteriorating health. It was also reported that she had been placed under medical supervision.
Royal family members arrived at Balmoral after the announcement.
Later that day, Queen Elizabeth II passed away.
The late Queen Elizabeth II
For the United Kingdom, Queen Elizabeth II's reign of nearly 70 years makes her the longest-ruling monarch in history. Following the death of her father, King George VI, she was crowned queen in 1952. Queen Elizabeth was married to Prince Philip, who passed away in April 2021.
Queen Elizabeth has been the subject of fake news during her reign. Misbar has previously debunked numerous misleading photos attributed to the Queen.
It was also falsely alleged that she had requested a signed jersey from football player Cristiano Ronaldo.
In 2021, false reports circulated claiming that the Queen was found guilty in the disappearance of ten Kenyan students.
The Queen's health had been a source of concern since February 2022, when she tested positive for COVID-19.
After announcing her death on September 8, 2022, Prince Charles becomes King Charles III.
