Misbar investigated the circulating claim and found it to be misleading. The photo has been digitally altered. Although the Empire State building did, in fact, pay tribute to Queen Elizabeth II, her image was not displayed.
After conducting a thorough search online, Misbar’s team found that the photo has been digitally edited by the photographer Craig Fruchtman, who shared it via his Twitter and Instagram accounts.
