Misbar investigated the circulating claim and discovered it to be misleading.
The video does not depict the body of Queen Elizabeth II.
Roman Catholic Clergy
Misbar traced the viral video and found that it was published online in August 2022, prior to the death of Queen Elizabeth II.
On August 25, 2022, the clip was live-streamed on a YouTube channel named Catedral Baslica de Nossa Senhora do Pilar. The circulating clip was undoubtedly trimmed from the YouTube channel's live stream.
Queen Elizabeth II’s Coffin
The coffin shown in the widely circulated clip does not match the coffin carried in the procession on September 11–12, 2022, from Scotland's Balmoral Castle to the Palace of Holyroodhouse and St. Giles' Cathedral in the Scottish capital, Edinburgh.
According to the British royal family's official Twitter account, the Queen's coffin was draped in the Royal Standard flag and crowned with flowers.
In preparation for her funeral ceremony at Westminster Abbey on Monday, Queen Elizabeth II's coffin was transferred from Buckingham Palace to the Palace of Westminster on Wednesday afternoon.
Queen Elizabeth II's Funeral
Queen Elizabeth's funeral will be held on Monday, September 19, 2022. The funeral will take place at Westminster Abbey, a historic church in the City of Westminster, London.
