Further investigation revealed that the photo was published on The Rare Welsh Bit website on July 9, 2017. The award-winning food and travel blog published the viral photo, along with other photos, in an article about the evolution of McDonald's restaurants.
According to the blog, the photo was taken at the Cardiff Culverhouse Cross McDonald's in the United Kingdom.
