A Comedian Mimicking Uganda’s President
The video features Teacher Mpamire, a well-known Ugandan comedian known for making fun of the country's president.
Misbar located the video on the comedian's verified YouTube channel.
The same video clip was also published on the comedian's Facebook page on April 9.
Who Is Teacher Mpamire?
Herbert Mendo Ssegujja, also known as Teacher Mpamire, is a Ugandan actor and comedian. He is well-known for impersonating Ugandan President Yoweri Kaguta Museveni.
He has performed in Uganda, Zambia, Malawi, Kenya, Tanzania, and other African countries. Mpamire was named "discovery of the year" at the 2016 Africa Youth Awards in Accra, Ghana.
Mpamire's social media videos have received thousands of views. This is not the first time Teacher Mpamire's shared videos have caused confusion, but many of his mimicking videos of the president have been shared online by social media users who believe Teacher Mpamire is the real President of Uganda.
This video, which purported to show Uganda's President dancing, was previously circulated online.
