Kyiv Residents Did Not Recently Shoot Down Drones
On their official Twitter, Ukraine's Ministry of Culture and Information Policy's Centre for Strategic Communication and Information Security refuted the claim.
The photo was taken from a June 25, 2021, Kyiv Patrol Police Facebook video.
The video depicts a man pointing a rifle out of the window of a building. The video also shows the man's arrest and two photos of his guns.
The Centre for Strategic Communication and Information Security also confirmed that Kyiv residents did not shoot down drones with rifles from their balconies.
Russia Attacking Ukraine Using Iranian Drones
The photo went viral after reports that a wave of drones attacked Kyiv and other Ukrainian cities on Monday morning.
The attack, according to ABC, demonstrated how Russia is increasingly relying on attack drones made and supplied by Iran to support its vain war effort in Ukraine.
According to Ukrainian officials, Iran's government has supplied Russia with hundreds of military drones.
According to the Ukrainian government, Russia is using Iranian Shahed-136 drones, which are large so-called loitering munitions.
However, the Iranian government has denied supplying Russia with drones for use in Ukraine.
