Did Elon Musk Tweet That He Wants to Buy TikTok?
We found no evidence that Musk tweeted he would buy and then delete TikTok.
Musk did not issue a statement regarding TikTok's acquisition on any of his official verified accounts.
According to the screenshot, the alleged tweet was published on October 31, 2022.
We reviewed his tweets on October 31 and found that none of them mentioned TikTok.
Furthermore, neither TikTok's verified social media accounts nor its press releases have mentioned the claim.
Musk's TikTok purchase claim has been circulating online since May 2022.
