The Map Was Published by A Non-Official Account
Misbar found that the image was first published by an Instagram account.
On September 5, @African.mapper posted the map.
The account focuses on creating maps of African countries.
Maps published by the @African.mapper account usually include a logo of the object depicted.
The map of the African countries that qualified for the 2022 World Cup is displayed along with the tournament's logo.
The account also shared a plethora of maps that pinpoint the whereabouts of various eateries and well-known brands across the African continent.
African World Cup 2022 Teams
The claim made the rounds ahead of the 2022 Qatar World Cup, which is set to kick off on November 20.
Ghana, Senegal, Cameroon, Morocco, Tunisia, and Morocco will be the five African teams participating in the competition.
Five African national teams qualified at the end of March after African teams such as Algeria, Egypt, and Nigeria were defeated in the final round of the African qualification.
Senegal qualified for the World Cup at the expense of Egypt, and Cameroon qualified at the expense of Algeria.
