Misbar has investigated the claim and found it to be misleading. The video does not show Saudi forces arriving in Qatar to secure the World Cup.
The footage shows marine forces commemorating the Saudi National Day at Jeddah's Waterfront.
Marine Forces Celebrating the Saudi National Day
Misbar’s team reviewed the visuals that appeared in the footage and found them to be the slogan of the Saudi National Day commemoration in September 2021 and 2022.
Misbar found other videos of the vehicles taken from different angles and posted online in September 2021 and 2022 as Saudi Arabia celebrated its National Day in Jeddah.
Although our team could not find the original footage, many visual elements on the video confirm the clip was filmed in Jeddah, not Qatar.
