Luis Enrique’s Comments On the Friendly Match with Jordan

Spain won a friendly match against Jordan before the start of the 2022 World Cup.  Before the match, the coach of the Spanish national team, Luis Enrique, mentioned that for the first time in his career, he did not choose the starting line-up of the team. The players did it themselves.

The Spanish coach also commented on the warmth of Jordanian hospitality: “It was a pleasure to play in Jordan. I felt the warmth that the hosts gave us. The boys played well and with a lot of desire. I managed to test the players and I must say that for the first time in my career I did not choose the starting 11. They chose according to their own opinion how much they will play in the match against Costa Rica. I just coordinated a little so that everyone gets certain minutes.”
