On November 16, police launched an investigation after several explosions started a fire in Istanbul's Fatih neighborhood, causing widespread panic.
On Koca Mustafapasa Avenue, the incident occurred.
The fire quickly grew and spread to four additional cars in a short period of time.
According to investigators, the fire and explosion in the car were caused by unidentified "technical issues," and four other cars and an adjacent building were also affected as a result.
After interviewing the fire crew and investigating the scene, the police concluded that the fire was not the result of terrorism or arson.
Terrorist Attack in Istanbul
An explosion on Istanbul's Istiklal Avenue killed at least six people and injured 81 on November 13.
According to Turkish investigators, the primary suspect in the terrorist attack is a lady of Syrian descent who was trained by militant Kurds.
The suspect confessed to planting a bomb, according to Turkish authorities.
However, militant Kurds denied any involvement in the bombing.
