Yet, the X-ray photo has not been published by the Saudi national team or by any reliable source.

Given the viral photo, the X-ray image is unlikely to show Alshahrani’s skull after injury.

The circulating X-ray image shows the area of the front teeth, where the mustache is and below, has a very clear concavity, while the contour of the upper lip is seen correctly in Alshahrani's video from the hospital.

The x-ray image also shows that the upper front teeth on the left side are missing, while Alshahrani's video from the hospital shows that all the upper front teeth are in their correct place.

Yasser Alshahrani's Injury vs. Argentina

The claim went viral after the Saudi national team defender was injured during Saudi Arabia's opening World Cup match against Argentina on Tuesday, November 22.

When Al-Shahrani intervened to take up the ball in front of an Argentine striker, he collided with his teammate, goalkeeper Mohammed Al-Owais.

The goalkeeper's knee hit the defender Yasser Al-Shahrani's face directly, causing a major injury that demanded his removal from the match to the hospital just before the match's end.

Argentina’s Loss to Saudi Arabia

The claim came after Saudi Arabia defeated Argentina 2-1.

After losing against the Green Falcons, Argentina's run of 36 straight victories came to an end.
