Misbar’s Analysis
Misbar investigated the circulating claim and found it to be misleading. The photo dates back to 2012 and is unrelated to World Cup Qatar 2022.
The Dubai International Peace Convention
The circulating image was taken during the International Peace Convention in Dubai back in 2012. According to multiple websites, the convention was held at the Dubai World Trade Center. The main purpose of the convention was to cooperate intellectually in order to share the teachings of Islam and spread peace across the world.
The photo features Sheikhs Said Rageah, Hussain Yee, Dr. Zakir Naik, Muhammad Salah, and Yusuf Estes.
The convention was held under the patronage of His Highness Sheikh Mohammed bin Rashid Al Maktoum, Prime Minister, Minister of Defence of the United Arab Emirates, and ruler of Dubai.
During the second day of the Dubai International Peace Convention, Sheikh Mishary bin Rashid Al Afasy led more than 60,000 worshipers including the preachers in the photo.

The photo is being circulated as the 2022 World Cup in Qatar takes place. 32 teams from all over the world are participating in the tournament, which will last till December 18.
