According to the claim, the journalist pledged to shave her hair if Saudi Arabia beat Argentina in the 2022 World Cup.

The protests spread across the country in honor of Mahsa Amini, who was arrested and killed for allegedly violating the Islamic Republic's modesty laws. The Iranian government claimed that it was not responsible for Amini’s death.
