Doha 2006 Asian Games

Upon conducting a reverse image search, Misbar’s team found that the video shows HH Sheikh Mohammed Bin Hamad Al-Thani, the captain of the Qatari International Endurance team, lighting the cauldron during the 2006 Asian Games held at Doha, Qatar.

The claim is being circulating following the opening of the 2022 World Cup in Qatar. 

The FIFA World Cup Qatar kicked off in Doha’s Al Bayt Stadium on 20 November 2022 with an opening ceremony that included Hollywood actor Morgan Freeman. 

The tournament will last till December 18.
