Saudi Arabia's Coach Refuted the Claim
In a post-match press conference, a British journalist asked Saudi Arabia striker Saleh Al-Shehri about rumors that each player received a Rolls-Royce after their World Cup victory over Argentina.
"If this is true, which color did you choose?" the journalist asked Saleh Al-Shehri.
However, Al-Shehri, responded to the journalist's query and answered, "It is not true. We are here to serve our country, and we will do our best so that our best achievement."
Saudi Arabia's head coach Herve Renard also denied claims that his entire team was gifted Rolls Royces after their World Cup win over Argentina.
Argentina’s Loss to Saudi Arabia
The allegation emerged after Saudi Arabia defeated Argentina 2-1.
Argentina's 36-game winning streak came to an end with the defeat to the Green Falcons.
Following the match, Lionel Messi said: "There are no excuses. We are going to be more united than ever. This group is strong and they have shown it. It is a situation that we did not have to go through in a long time. Now we have to show that this is a real group."
