Misbar investigated the circulating claim and found it to be misleading. The video was taken in Spain, not Qatar.
England and Wales Fans Clash
Several media outlets reported that England and Wales fans clashed in a brutal street fight in Tenerife, Spain.
The viral video was shot outside the Tenerife’s Revolution and O’Neill’s bars.
According to The Telegraph, “Barstools were repeatedly thrown into groups of people, while pushing and shoving also led to several men in red and white football shirts tumbling to the ground.”
Misbar’s team reviewed the location where the clip was taken using Google Maps and found that it was taken in front of bars on the Spanish island of Tenerife.
The street and the same shop signs appeared in a video clip posted on YouTube, depicting the area where the fight took place inside the island.
England and Wales Match at the FIFA World Cup 2022
England and Wales will face each other at the FIFA World Cup Qatar 2022 on November 29. England will qualify for the last 16 of the World Cup if they avoid a four-goal defeat to Wales.
England are currently top of Group B with four points, but Iran, Wales and USA can all still qualify.
