Sergio Ramos and Luis Enrique's World Cup Selfie Is Digitally Altered

Misbar investigated the circulating photo and found it to be fake.

A thorough reverse image search revealed that the photo making the rounds was fake and unrelated to the 2022 World Cup.

The image of Luis Enrique has been digitally inserted into Sergio Ramos' selfie.

The original photo shows ex-Real Madrid defender Sergio Ramos taking a selfie with former teammate Luka Modrić.

Sergio Ramos' Instagram account posted the photo on December 3, 2018, following Real Madrid midfielder Luka Modrić's Ballon d'Or win.

Sergio Ramos posted the photo, congratulating his teammate at the time, and wrote, "Congrats, my Croatian brother. Well deserved!"

When Luka Modrić brought his Ballon d'Or into the Real Madrid club to exhibit the 2018 award to his teammates, Sergio Ramos couldn't help but make the situation humorous.

Ramos took a selfie with Modric's Ballon d'Or while crying and looking at the trophy, writing in the caption, "And when am I going to get mine?"

Despite being in 21st place that year and winning every major title in the game, including the World Cup in 2010, Ramos has never finished in the top three.

Spain’s Coach Excludes Sergio Ramos

Sergio Ramos, a defender for Paris Saint-Germain, is not on the Spanish national team's official squad.

Luis Enrique had previously announced the list of those called to the Spanish National Team for the two warm-up games for the Qatar 2022 World Cup.

The coach omitted Ramos and explained his team selection by saying, "There are better players."

Spain’s World Cup Round of 16 Match Loss to Morocco

Morocco defeated Spain 3-0 on penalties after a 0-0 draw in extra time to advance to the World Cup quarterfinals in 2022.

Morocco became only the fourth African country to win.

The Moroccans were playing in only their second World Cup knockout game.

Morocco's Achraf Hakimi, Abdelhamid Sabiri, and Hakim Ziyech each scored three penalties against Spain.

"I’m very proud of my fans, of my people and Arabic people," said Morocco coach Walid Regragui. "Also because I think you have Qatari people here, maybe Algerian people, Tunisian people, Arabic people and African people."

Morocco, who has been the biggest surprise of the competition, will next play Portugal on Saturday in the quarterfinals.
