Misbar investigated the circulating claim and found it to be fake. No reliable source reported anything out of the ordinary in the sky on December 21, 2022.
However, on December 21, 2020, Jupiter and Saturn aligned, and some referred to the alignments as the “Star of Bethlem.”

The story of the Star of Bethlehem is mentioned in the Book of Matthew. According to the Gospel, a bright star appeared in the eastern sky when Jesus was born.
While there is no scientific consensus on what the Star of Bethlehem was, many believe that it a conjunction of several planets.
