Misbar’s Analysis
Misbar investigated the circulating video and found the claim to be misleading.
After conducting a reverse image search, Misbar’s team found that the viral video predates Ovidio Guzmán’s recent arrest.
Misbar’s team found that the video was first published on Twitter on December 25, 2022.
The video’s caption reads, "Ambush of the Northeast Cartel to Mexican soldiers in Nuevo Laredo (Tamaulipas). The video is probably from this week because there were clashes, but similar events have been recorded several times this month."
