The photo was taken by the photographer John Lund, who shared it on his website with a description that clarifies: “A road winds its way and into the mouth of a monster mountain under a stormy sky. The mountain of madness was photographed on the island of Socotra and manipulated in Photoshop to create the angry face effect.”
