Turkey and Syria Earthquake Death Toll

A catastrophic 7.8-magnitude earthquake has struck southern Turkey and northwest Syria, leaving behind a trail of destruction.

With over 23,700 confirmed deaths and many people still missing, the earthquake is one of the deadliest in the region in two decades.

Emergency crews are working tirelessly to rescue survivors, while governments and aid organizations are struggling to provide food, shelter, and medical care to the affected areas.

The already dire situation has been made even more challenging by the freezing temperatures across the large, affected region.

Organizations Struggle to Reach People in Need After the Turkey-Syria Earthquake

Despite their efforts, aid organizations are still struggling to reach many people in need.

The earthquake has caused widespread damage to infrastructure, making it difficult to access the affected areas.

Moreover, the complicated situation in Syria is hindering aid from reaching areas affected the most by earthquake.

Meanwhile, many countries have sent aid to both countries and many NGOs are gathering donations to help the people affected the most by earthquake in Turkey and Syria.
