According to Syrian Television, the picture shows a recent crack in Midanki Dam in Afrin region due to the devastating earthquake.
Other local news outlets have also published the image confirming it was taken in Syria.
TV reports from the Midanki Dam, Afrin, were also posted online featuring the damage.
The Recent Turkey-Syria Earthquake
On February 6, a 7.8 magnitude earthquake hit Turkey and Syria, leaving more than 33.000 people dead and thousands wounded. The disaster was reportedly considered one of the strongest earthquakes to have struck the region during the last century.
