Vinícius Júnior Will Not Be Suspended for the Second Leg Match

Several fans questioned the possibility of Vinícius Jr's absence in the Copa del Rey's second leg match before Barcelona due to the players' two bookings in the competition.

In these competitions, players are normally suspended for one game after receiving their third yellow card.

Yet, that will not be the case with the Real Madrid’s winger. Mundo Deportivo reported that the player will be able to play in the second leg match of the Copa del Rey semi-final against Barcelona on April 5.

That is because following the quarterfinals of the Copa del Rey, all yellow cards are erased. 

The Madrid wingers' cautions from the previous two games do not apply in this one.

Vinícius Júnior can start for Los Blancos in the second leg at Barcelona's stadium after he avoided being sent off in the first leg match.

Barcelona Beats Real Madrid in the First Leg of the Competition

The rumor gained traction after Barcelona and Real Madrid's match on Thursday.

The match was held at Santiago Bernabéu, the home stadium of Real Madrid. Vinícius Júnior got the third yellow card after he collided with Dutch player de Jong.

When the Brazilian and the Dutchman got involved in a play in the middle of the field, the referee disciplined the Madrid player to end the incident. Vinícius was quite enraged by this and criticized the referee for receiving a yellow card.

On April 5, the second leg match between the two teams will be played at Camp Nou in Barcelona.
