What Are the Origins of the Tate Cancer Rumor?
Rumors circulated that the controversial influencer Andrew Tate had been diagnosed with lung cancer. One of his close friends seems to have confirmed the rumors.
The Sartorial Shooter, an Instagram user, wrote on Saturday: "A lot of people are asking me if Tate lung cancer story is true. Yes it's true, I was the one driving with him to and from the hospital in Dubai."
Andrew Tate Refuted the Claim
Andrew Tate refuted the claim in a tweet that he shared along with a photo while he was training.
The tweet reads, "I do not have cancer. My lungs contain precisely 0 smoking damage. In fact, I have an 8L lung capacity and the vital signs of an Olympic athlete. There is nothing but a scar on my lung from an old battle. True warriors are scarred both inside and out."
Andrew Tate Was Detained in Romania
Police detained Andrew Tate and his brother Tristian Tae in December 2022 on suspicion of rape, human trafficking, pornographic shooting, and other charges.
Notwithstanding their denial of all charges, the two brothers are now being held in Romanian custody.
The Tates will remain in custody for an additional 30 days starting on February 28, despite their plea for release being upheld by a Romanian court on February 21.
According to ABC News, Tate and his brother will be held in detention at least until March 29.
