The Claim

A video shows the arrival of 90 Stryker combat vehicles from the USA to Ukraine. Now, they have already arrived in Germany, from where they will go to Ukraine.

Social media users circulated a video purporting to show the arrival of 90 Stryker combat vehicles from the USA to Ukraine. 

Now, the vehicles have already arrived in Germany, from where they will go to Ukraine.

The video started circulating on March 4.

Misbar investigated the circulating video and found the claim to be misleading.

After conducting a thorough reverse image search, Misbar found the video making the rounds to be outdated and unrelated to U.S. aid to Ukraine.

Contrary to the viral claims, the video features the arrival of the U.S. Stryker Vehicles in South Korea.

On October 8, 2022, the video was published by the U.S. Defense System on YouTube.

The viral video was cut from the four-minute original video.

U.S. Army Stryker Brigade Arrives in South Korea

As part of the Army's yearly rotating force in South Korea, a Stryker Brigade Combat Team from the 2nd Infantry Division arrived in the country on October 8, 2022.

According to a press release from the 8th Army, Stryker vehicles and other equipment from the 2nd Stryker Brigade Combat Team were deployed at the Port of Pyeongtaek, close to Camp Humphreys.

Stryker brigade combat teams have a total of about 4,000 soldiers attached to them.

U.S. Pledged 90 Stryker Vehicles to Ukraine

The Pentagon has announced that it will transfer 90 Stryker armored battle vehicles from U.S. military stocks to Ukraine. This will be the first time the adaptable eight-wheeled weapons have been transferred internationally.

As part of a $2.5 billion military aid package for Kyiv, 59 Bradley infantry fighting vehicles and other armaments will be deployed with the Strykers. 

In addition to the 50 Bradleys announced for Ukraine on January 6, the deal will provide Kyiv with enough vehicles to outfit two armored brigades.

The 90 Stryker wheeled battle vehicles that the United States promised to Ukraine have reportedly arrived in Germany on a roll-on, roll-off cargo ship, according to Forbes.
