Misbar’s Analysis

Misbar investigated the circulating claim and found it to be fake.

The Spanish sports outlet Mundo Deportivo and Al-Nassr Club refuted the claim.

Mundo Deportivo Clarifies The Confusion

Misbar's team discovered that Mundo Deportivo issued a clarification regarding an earlier publication that contradicted statements attributed to Al-Nassr's president, which were originally reported by "ArabiaNews50" in Arabic media.

Mundo Deportivo's report was based on information provided by their contributor, Achraf Ben Ayad, who stated that the reported statements were fake.

Al-Nassr Club Denied the Claim

Al-Nassr has dismissed rumors claiming that their president, Musalli Al-Muammar, expressed feeling "scammed" by the transfer of Cristiano Ronaldo to Al-Nassr. The alleged statements attributed to Al-Muammar have been circulating on social media, but the club insists that they are entirely fabricated.

According to the club's press adviser, Walid Al-Muhaidib, the reports in the Spanish press regarding the alleged cheating on the Ronaldo deal based on the Arabia News 50 website are false and inaccurate. Al-Muhaidib also stated that the press made up the story and mistakenly believed it to be true.

Al-Nassr’s Elimination from the King Cup

The claim came after Ronaldo's turbulent beginning to his career in the Middle East, during which he scored 11 goals in 14 matches.

Al-Nassr Football Club suffered a defeat in the King Cup of Champions on Monday night, which has further contributed to the struggles of their star forward Cristiano Ronaldo since joining the club.

Al Nassr was beaten 1-0 by Al Wehda, with the loss being particularly hard to accept as Al Wehda played with one less player for the last 40 minutes.

Sky Sports Football published a video showing Ronaldo fuming at his own bench as Al-Nassr went in behind at halftime.

Cristiano Ronaldo Signs for Al-Nassr

In late December of last year, Saudi club Al-Nassr officially announced signing with the Portuguese player Cristiano Ronaldo, and his contract extension until the summer of 2025.

At the time, Al-Nassr's president, Musalli Al-Muammar, described the deal as "more than just a new historic chapter," emphasizing that "this player is a role model for all athletes and youth worldwide. With Ronaldo in Al-Nassr, we will move forward to achieve more success for the club, Saudi sports, and future generations."
